WHAT WE DON'T KNOW

Embodied Social Justice for members of ICMTA who are interested in shared collaborative learning.

With Sue Rickards and Deborah Lewin.

Sunday, 18th July, 17.00-19.00 UK
(You can check
your local time for example here:
https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html )

(Yes, it’s very short notice – a pop up surprise – it is the only date that Deborah and Sue can both be free, so we took the leap and hope that you will join us.)

From Deborah and Sue:

We are just finishing a 3 month Embodied Social Justice Programme. It’s been fascinating. The sessions covered such a wide range of topics - Ableism, Racism, Sexuality, Gender, Mindfulness, Decentering Whiteness, and much more. The programme ends with the option to create a project - and this is what we’ve chosen:

We are offering this 2 hour session on Zoom to share a little bit about some of the subjects that were covered, and some of the things that we learnt about, or were particularly interested in. There will be some time to move, connect and reflect.

Following on from this pop up session, there will be the opportunity to create small groups, to get together around a chosen topic for some collective exploration and learning. This would be an entirely optional way to take things forward, should you wish, and groups could meet as often or as little as they chose. We imagine it will be an enjoyable, efficient and productive way to educate ourselves.

We see this as a possible way for us all to grow wisdom in community with others, to make us better at our jobs, and to be able to hold more inclusive and diverse space for our students.

We’re expecting these two hours to be explorative, enjoyable and a chance to take another step in Continued Professional Development together.
