One of the highlights of the ICMTA year is our Teachers' Gathering.

From the year the ICMTA was born, in 2013, the Teachers' Gathering was held annually in different European countries, until the 2019 Gathering in France.

In 2020, we had to move online, but still found our way to create a place of aliveness, connection & belonging.

After 3 online editions, we finally gathered in person in 2023, in the french countryside, between Lyon and Geneva.

In 2024, the Teachers' Gathering will take place in Boulder, Colorado, USA, on the 4th - 8th of October 2024. This very special edition is held in collaboration with Golden Bridges. Read more and join us.

What Do We Do?
The Teachers' Gathering is an event for conscious movement teachers from any of the ICMTA recognised schools (5Rhythms, BISO - Body in Soul, freedomDANCE, Movement Medicine, Open Floor,  Path of Azul, SomaSource, and Soul Motion).

The Gathering is a place to meet, dance, share, learn, reflect, and support each other, created by teachers for teachers.

It is not a workshop or a training but a field of common exploration around a theme, weaved & led by teachers from our different conscious dance schools.

Of course we dance a lot, enriched by the various flavours of all our dance modalities!

And the topics and sharings offered can be explored further in the Continuing Professional Development programme we will be offering throughout the year.

Who Is It For?
All teachers & teachers in training of the recognised schools are welcome at our Teachers' Gatherings.

You don’t have to be an ICMTA member to join us.

 
Frequency & Format
The Teachers’ Gathering has been held every year since 2013: seven times in person and three times online.

To honour our recent Climate Policy and follow the success of our online Gatherings, we have decided to provide a mix of in-person Gatherings and online offering in future.
