Continuing Professional Development

An important part of our mission is to support our members in their professional development and ongoing learning. We are currently offering regular CPD sessions on March 1st, June 1st and September 1st.

These focus on a specific area of professional development and education, such as diversity, equity and inclusion work; music and DJ skills; non-violent communication; embodied sexuality; creative processes such as writing / theater / voice work in conscious movement spaces, etc.

These sessions are held for 2 hours by a teacher expert of that field.

They are free for ICMTA members and open to non-members with an entrance fee.

If you have a particular skill or field of knowledge you would like to offer, please let us know at info@icmta.com. Expert teachers are paid for these events.

You can find the recordings of the past events here (only for members).

Note: We are also offering monthly community dances held by teachers for teachers, only for members: Feet 1st. Please see here for details and next dates.

The Dance of the Conscious Activist

Facing the challenges of our times by combining Joanna Macy's Work That Reconnects with Movement Medicine

    with Ben Yeger

    Monday June 1st 2026, 2:00 PM BST

    6 AM PDT - 9 AM EDT- 3 PM CEST - 4 PM MSK - 11 PM AEST

In this 2hr CPD session we will become familiar with Joanna Macy's extraordinary body of work and the spiral of the Work That Reconnects. Ben will share how he has used this work within a Movement Medicine embodied frame and will offer a space for participants to experience some of these. There will be a space for dialogue and questions which will support those present in exploring how they might want to use this work in their practice. The over riding aim of this session is to find ways to be more explicit in how we can be in service of the bigger picture in these complex times on planet Earth.
